The M-ERA.Net consortium held its annual conference in Warsaw, Poland on 15th September 2015 as a satellite meeting of the E-MRS Fall 2015 conference. We are proud to report that our VOCSENSOR project was chosen for oral presentation (only 6 project coordinators were allowed to introduce their project our of the 80+ running M-ERA.Net supported networks!). Professor Wei-Fang Su introduced our consortium and main results in a 30 min talk that was received very well by the audience. More details on the event are available here.
The VOCSENSOR consortium met to review the results of the 2nd project year on 14 September, 2015 in Warsaw, Poland. All four parties were represented. The highlights of the meeting were:
A new prototype demonstration video made by the NTU team is available in the Results section. Check it out!
The 2014 annual meeting of the VOCSENSOR project was hosted by the University of Szeged on 12-13 October, 2014. All four parties were represented. Major achievements of the meeting were:
The meeting was directly followed by the 6th Szeged International Workshop on Advances in Nanoscience (SIWAN 2014), an international conference with over 150 participants from 26 countries. The coordinator of the VOCSENSOR project, Prof. Wei-Fang Su has introduced the VOCSENSOR project to this large audience.
Our friends at the National Taiwan University have created a video where the applicability of the VOCSENSOR unit is demonstrated for toluene sensing. This video is available in the "Results" section of the site.
The annual review meeting of the VOCSENSOR project will start on 12 October (Sunday) at Szeged, Hungary. The tentative agenda of the meeting is provided here for reference.
The Consortium Agreement (CA) of the VOCSENSOR project is an important document which details the rights and obligations of the project partners, describes background and foreground IPR management practices and provides instructions for handling consortium-level difficulties. A draft of this document was prepared in Summer 2013, then the document was refined at the kick-off meeting and afterwards, by the attorneys of the partners as well. The CA was successfully finalized by the November 2013 deadline. We are now collecting all the required original signatures.
The kick-off meeting of our new M-ERA.NET project "VOCSENSOR" was held in Taipei, Taiwan between 7-12 October, 2013. The meeting was expertly organized by the coordinator Prof. Wei-Fang Su and her team. We were honored to meet Prof. Jia-Yush Yen, Dean of the College of Engineering of NTU and Prof. Chao-Sung Lin, Head of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. We are thankful for the assistance provided by the students and staff of the Department as well as by the kind help of Dr. Ming-Chung Wu, our friend from the Chang Gung University.
